A presscontrol completely replaces the traditional pump control system consisting of expansion vessel, manometer, pressure switch, valve etc., protecting the pump in case of water shortage. It automatically starts and stops the pump when a tap in the installation where it is mounted is opened or closed. It does not regulate the pressure in the circuit; the outlet pressure is the same as the pump’s. The starting pressure (the one at which the presscontrol commands the pump to start) comes factory set at 1,5 bar, this can be adjusted with the adjustment screw between 1 - 3,5 bar. The stop pressure of the pump cannot be adjusted with the presscontrol (the pump will stop only 7 - 15 seconds after the tap at the consumer has been closed). The stop pressure of the pump can be adjusted only by installing a pressure reducer, between the pump and the presscontrol, by means of which the pressure produced by the pump can be reduced.
