Automatic welding mask with external adjustment DIN9–13 and grinding function
This automatic welding mask is designed to provide superior protection and excellent visibility during work. With an optical class 1/1/1/2, it delivers a clear, distortion-free image for increased user comfort.
“Optical class 1/1/1/2” is a very important technical specification for welding masks with auto-darkening filter (ADF – Auto Darkening Filter). It indicates the image quality and filter accuracy according to the European standard EN 379.
The standard evaluates the filter by 4 criteria, each rated from 1 (best quality) to 3 (worst):
1 Optical class (first digit) – image clarity, i.e., how clean and distortion-free the view through the visor is.
2 Diffusion of light (second digit) – how much light is scattered through the filter; a score of 1 means a clear image without “fog.”
3 Variation in luminous transmittance (third digit) – uniformity of darkening across the entire filter surface (no lighter or darker areas).
4 Angle dependence of luminous transmittance (fourth digit) – how consistent the shade remains when viewed from different angles.
Thus, 1/1/1/2 means a mask with very good optical quality, with a clear and uniform image, but with a slight variation of shade when you look from a certain angle — almost imperceptible in practice.
The viewing area of 90x35 mm and the optical cartridge of 110x90x9 mm ensure a wide view of the work area.
The auto filter switches quickly from the light state (DIN4) to the dark state (DIN9–13) in just 1/15000 seconds, protecting the eyes against UV/IR at level 16. The darkening degree is easily adjusted via an external knob, adapting perfectly to different welding types.
The mask has two arc sensors, grinding function (Grind), solar power combined with a replaceable CR2032 battery, and automatic control of sensitivity and delay (0,25–0,65 s).
