A presscontrol completely replaces the traditional pump control system consisting of expansion vessel, pressure gauge, pressure switch, valve, etc., protecting the pump in case of water deficit. It automatically commands the start and stop of the pump when a tap in the installation where it is mounted is opened or closed. It does not regulate pressure in the circuit; the outlet pressure is the same as the pump’s. The starting pressure (at which the presscontrol commands the pump to start) is factory set to 1,5 bar and can be adjusted via the adjustment screw between 1-10 bar. The stopping pressure of the pump cannot be adjusted with the presscontrol (the pump will stop only 7 - 15 seconds after the tap at the consumer has been closed). The stopping pressure can only be adjusted by installing a pressure reducer between the pump and the presscontrol, through which the pressure generated by the pump can be reduced.
